Introduction to BPS Security
|
The data contained within the application is clearly of a sensitive nature.
With this in mind schoolsBPS is designed to use modern security methods to ensure your data is protected.
Subject to requirements for your instance of SchoolsBPS we can deploy several different methods of data security.

Methods of Security
|
We can use any combination of the methods below to give single, double or even triple tier authentication.
- User Logins are each defined using roles which give users the access they require but restricts them to areas of the program required for them to fulfil their role.
- HTTPS using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) or TLS (Transport Layer Security). With either 40, 56, 128 or even 256 bit encryption.
- I.P. Lockdown - Restricting which computers or networks have access to the system.
- Citrix Gateways.

What does this mean?
|
Using these methods we can dramatically improve on the security associated with the movement of unencrypted emails containing excel spreadsheets which are prone to interception.
In addition having a secure web based product means that multiple users, each with possibly different roles, can access the system wherever they are and without leaving sensitive information on unsecure computers in school offices.
