SchoolsBPS Training

Training for SchoolsBPS is delivered through our ‘Train the Trainer’ program.
Targeted at the Local Authorities' Financial Services Support Team, our training program ensures that the financial support services team have the knowledge to deliver ‘Schools Training’ directly to their own schools.
Trainers
SchoolsBPS trainers have firsthand experience of working within Local Authority FMS teams and are experts in the financial and budget planning process. They are also experts in the SchoolsBPS software and have had direct input into its development. All the terminology within the system is common to the budget planning process so becoming familiar with the system is easy. The trainers will ensure that Local Authorities' Financial Services Support Team have the knowledge and confidence to deliver a high quality training program to their schools.

Support Material
|
The program is supplied with a full set of ‘module instructions’ and a training plan to roll the software out to schools. This is supported by ‘online help screen’ functionality for the ‘Local Authority View’ within SchoolsBPS.
Schools also have access to ‘help screens’ through the ‘Schools View’.
Initial feedback has shown that the uptake by the schools for SchoolsBPS has been significantly positive when compared to other introduced systems, as the system has ‘familiar’ formats and terminology.
Schools quickly recognise that the tools the system provides make their Budget and Planning process so much easier and more useful than they had previously experienced using excel. |

Course Duration
|
Courses are normally delivered on site, starting at 9.30am. The course is predominately ‘hands on’ and its duration is normally one day, depending on the number of individuals being trained.
Once competent in the product, the Financial Support Team will be able to deliver training to up to 10 schools in one training session depending on the number of seats available.
Schools' training sessions can be broken down into modules; note training is carried out in a safe ‘Training Environment’, not in the ‘Live System’.
